תוכן הפעולה

The Tshuva Process

Understanding the Chet (what you did wrong)

Charata

Vidui

Doing Tshuva (correcting your actions)

Kabala Laatid (resolution)

Stage 1: game- What is and what should be.

Stage 2: Sicha (diyun)- Does it bother you that there is such a gap between the רצוי   and the מצוי.

Stage 3:

Stage 4: Story about Chazara b’Tshuva.

Stage 5: Chidon on Minhagai Rosh Hashana. For every right answer they get a word:

"האומר אחטא ואשוב, אחטא ואשוב, אין מביאין בידו לעשות תשובה"

He who says I will sin and repent, sin and repent, He cannot do real Tshuva.

Then each kid will write a “Kabala laatid”- a new years resolution.

Stage 1-2 are together, 3-4 together, and 5 is by itself.

The kids will go through the Tahalich, the process of Tshuva, by physically going through different rooms.

The teacher/ Bat Sherut in each classroom will do each stage once, and they will have a different group each time.

There are 3 Tachanot, so there should be 3 or 6 groups.

Game: Everyone stands in a line against the wall. The teacher/ Bat Sherut reads out the sentences from the first group, 1 at a time. Each persons takes steps forward according to what he thinks:

Agrees strongly with the sentence- 3 steps.

Agrees- 2 steps

Disagrees- 1 step.

When you’re done with the first group of sentences, each person should mark the point he reached.

Then they all go back to the beginning and you repeat the game, this time using the sentences from the second group. This time they take steps according to what they really do:

Always- 3 steps.

Sometimes- 2 steps.

Rarely- 1 step.

At the end of the second group, each person should mark their place again, and then compare the first mark to the second mark.

WHAT SHOULD BE- רצוי

1.      It is important to learn Torah.

2.    It is important to honor your parents.

3.    It is important to Daven with Kavana.

4.    It is important not to lie.

5.    It is important to respect and be nice to all people.

WHAT IS-מצוי

1.      I make sure to learn some sort of לימודי קודש during my own free time.

2.    When my mother calls for me, I immediately run to see what she needs.

3.     I never talk during davening.

4.    I have never copied somebody else’s homework.

5.    I always say “Thank you” to the lunch lady/ bus driver/ cashier.
