LEADERSHIP
There was once a small town in
All the town’s people came out to see it when it came, and amongst them was the chief rabbi of that town. The rabbi was not satisfied with only seeing the train, and up close he came to touch the train with his hands. His students, puzzled by the rabbi’s behavior, asked him what he was doing. Answered the rabbi:
“From everything in this world we have to learn and derive ideas. I saw the train, and its cars were icy cold, but the front car, the one which moves the others, was fiery hot; therefore I concluded the following:
If the leader is hot,
he has in his power to pull many after him,
even if those, in turn, are cold as ice.”
